There is a good chance that you’ll develop at least one of these common conditions after your 40s.Even the strongest and the most active men will experience a few health problems as they get older.
Fortunately, you can fight with the majority of them.
Here are a few common health problems you should watch out if you are in your 40s:

Chronic knee pain due to arthritis, back pain and spondylitis arising from poor posture can make working for long hours difficult for you. These problems are manageable if you exercise regularly and maintain a healthy and calcium rich diet.

2.Hair loss and baldness

This is caused by regular stress. Hair loss happens when  follicles of hair become sensitized to dihydrotestosterone. This male hormone which is also known as DHT, is more potent than testosterone, says Leona Yip, FACD, Ph.D., a dermatologist based in Canberra, Australia. When DHT binds with receptors in the dermal papilla, part of the hair follicle,it shortens your hair’s growth phase so that each new hair comes in shorter and finer than the previous one, Dr. Yip says.

3.Hypertension and cholesterol

These two are the most common silent diseases among today’s population. If not managed at this age, these heart-health indicators may slowly present a cumulative risk of developing into other serious problems such as heart attack, cardiac arrest and stroke. Regular heart check-ups can help monitor and diagnose any complications especially if you have a family history of coronary heart disease or stroke. It is recommended to undergo cholesterol testing every 5 years after the age of 40.

4.Osteoporosis

Bone density gradually decrease in the 40s, leading to loss of bone strength, and putting individuals at risk of developing osteoporosis. This condition is more common among menopausal women. However calcium and vitamin D deficiencies can put men at risk too. For those who work in airconditioned workplaces, it is particularly beneficial to have at least half-an-hour of sun exposure every day.

5.Diabetes

Again it's also most common disease after 40s.Obesity, stress, and unhealthy food habits are the main cause of diabetes.Individuals in the age group of 45 to 65 are at a greater risk of developing Type-2 diabetes. Maintaining an active lifestyle, eating a healthy diet, and getting your blood sugar levels tested regularly (every 3 years after age 45) can keep this chronic ailment at bay.
